Fabio Gama has revealed one condition Asante Kotoko must meet before signing a new contract.
The Brazilian has left the shores of the country following the conclusion of the 2021/22 Ghana Premier League.
The 28-year-old played a vital role as the Porcupine Warriors won the Premier League under Prosper Narteh Ogum.
Gama who signed a two-year deal before the start of the 2020/21 season has no contract with the club following the expiration of his contract.
The club have attempted to convince the forward to sign an extension but has not been fruitful.
According to a report filed by Kumasi-based Silver FM, Gama left because he didn't enjoy much game time under coach Dr. Propser Narteh Ogum.
The report further adds that Gama will only sign a contract extension with Asante Kotoko and return to Ghana if the club agrees to pay him $1000 anytime in each game he sits on the bench.
Meanwhile, David Obeng Nyarko, Kotoko's acting communications director, has stated that the club will inform fans of Gama's situation as soon as possible.
"Talks are ongoing between the club and Fabio Gama and will be communicated at an appropriate time for the public to know whether he has signed a new contract or not," he told Pure FM.
