Deputy Sports Minister Evans Bobie says the Black Galaxies technical team is devising a plan to defeat Niger in the quarterfinals.
Ghana will take on Niger after beating Sudan 3-1 to secure a spot in the next round. Sudan took the lead on the half-hour mark through Hussein Mohammed but goals from Konadu Yiadom, Afriyie Barnieh, and Suraj Seidu were enough for the Black Galaxies to secure victory.
The Galaxies finished with 6 points - 3 points behind Madagascar who topped the group with 9 points after their 3-0 demolition of Sudan on Monday.
Winner of the quarterfinal clash between Ghana and Niger will face the winner of game between Madagascar and Mozambique which will also be played on Saturday.
"We were in group C so far we have played two matches we have qualified to the next stage. We were second in our group per Caf's timetable and the program Ghana team will be moving to Oran to lay Niger," Hon. Bobie told reporters.
"Between tomorrow per Caf's program we must leave Constantine and go to Oran this morning the team had a very successful and excellent training here in Constantine they just finished their lunch and they are going to rest and wait for tomorrow to leave for Oran. When we go to Oran we will have the opportunity to also train again,"
"We know Niger very well we know them we have watched their style of play our technical people who are handling the team have watched them and they are putting together a strategy to be able to beat them to qualify for the next stage so we are preparing for them,"
