Morocco coach Walid Regragui has opened up on his future, saying he will quit his role if the Atlas Lions fails to reach the semi-finals of 2023 Africa Cup of Nations to be hosted by Ivory Coast.
Regragui has his own dreams of managing a top European team following his heroics at the World Cup with the Moroccan national team.
The 47-year-old became the first African coach to reach the semifinals of the FIFA World Cup.
The Atlas Lions finished fourth in the tournament after missing out on the bronze medal to Croatia.
In an interview, Regragui reiterated desire to lead Morocco to their first AFCON semi-finals since 2004.
"We have to be at least in the AFCON semi-finals. If I don't go to the semi-finals, I'll leave on my own," Regragui said.
