Former Sunderland striker Asamoah Gyan says he's happy that Uruguay have been knocked out of the World Cup despite the poor performance from Ghana.
Uruguay defeated the Black Stars 2-0 but went out of the tournament on goals scored as they finished third behind South Korea in Group H.
Both goals were scored by Giorgio de Arrascaeta, the first a close-range header, the second a sublime volley after Andre Ayew had missed a penalty.
"He's crying today. He's going home although a poor performance by us. I would take this as a sweet revenge," Gyan said after the game.
Uruguay and South Korea both ended with a zero goal difference, but the Asian side netted a total of four goals in their three games, with the South American team scoring just the two they managed against Ghana.
It was the first time in two decades that la Celeste have failed to reach the knockout stage.
